Policies and Guidelines
The Arboretum is a Carry In, Carry Out space. Please take out all food containers and other waste that you bring in.
To avoid fines of $50- $250, dogs should be leashed. Please bag pet waste and take it out with you.
Per village laws, smoking and alcohol are illegal.
Bikes and motorized vehicles – except wheelchairs - are prohibited. Chain your bike to the rack near the parking lot.
Fires - including barbeque grills - are prohibited.
Private or business events require prior approval. Please see our Private Events page about use, deposits, fees and insurance requirements.
No camping or construction of temporary structures.

We ask that you respect wild residents as well as other human visitors encountered on the trails. Hunting and trapping are prohibited. So is collecting frogs, turtles, snakes, insects and birds’ eggs or removing their food and shelter plants and flowers.
